Geleta G. Hunt

Geleta G. Hunt began her legal career at Bellsouth Telecommunications in Atlanta, Georgia as an attorney representing management in labor matters. She litigated cases in Federal District Courts specializing in Title VII, ERISA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and other discrimination litigation. She also represented management in the arbitration of grievances filed by the Telecommunications Workers of America throughout the southeastern United States as well as handling National Labor Relations Board and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charges.
Geleta was promoted to the level of General Attorney in Georgia where she handled state general civil litigation and certain product related legal matters.
Geleta left the telecommunications industry after ten years to establish her own residential rental company, and later returned to the practice of law as an associate attorney at McClure, Ramsay, Dickerson and Escoe in Toccoa, Georgia. In that capacity, Geleta was involved in the research and drafting of litigation filings for civil litigation in the areas of title and other real estate litigation, personal injury, contract, business, and probate and trust litigation. Geleta also authored many contracts as well as appellate briefs.
After several years at McClure, Ramsay, Dickerson, and Escoe, Geleta began her own business providing legal services to various firms, and has since specialized in legal research and analysis, and the drafting of pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. She now provides a wide range of legal services at McLeod Law Firm including legal research and writing, drafting of pleadings, and probate advice.
Geleta graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree where she was a member of the Georgia Law Review in the capacity of Research Editor. Geleta also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and was class valedictorian. She is a member of the Georgia Bar and since has been of member of various civic clubs and legal organizations.
