David McLeod
David McLeod is the founder of McLeod Firm, P.C., in Gainesville, Georgia and since the creation of the firm has provided excellent legal services to diverse clients. Mr. McLeod has been consulted in the areas of business law, family law, criminal law, and civil litigation and has many returning clients who attest to his legal expertise.
During the course of his career, Mr. McLeod has tried and WON over 60 jury trials, conducted hundreds of motion hearings before judges, and WON appeals in the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. McLeod’s focus is always on obtaining the best possible legal result for his clients.
Prior to the founding of McLeod Firm, P.C., David McLeod was a partner in the firm of Robbins & McLeod in Gainesville, Georgia. During this time, Mr. McLeod served as lead counsel in complex litigation matters, providing expert counsel and advice to clients. He also managed the firm’s support staff and coordinated interactions with judges, opposing attorneys, and an array of witnesses and stakeholders.
Preceding his tenure at Robbins & McLeod, Mr. McLeod was an attorney at The Nodvin Firm in Atlanta, Georgia where he worked in the area of commercial litigation. He managed all aspects of client legal issues from conducting research and drafting pleadings to conducting hearings and trials. He was recognized for his outstanding performance as sole counsel representing corporate clients.
Mr. McLeod’s career began as an Assistant District Attorney. In that capacity, Mr. McLeod was promoted from general litigation to head the prosecution of all crimes against children cases and to serve as the District Attorney’s official liaison with the local Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) and law enforcement. He achieved a 100% winning record of prosecuting molestation and abuse cases. He dramatically enhanced the county’s record of success in prosecuting child abuse perpetrators and spearheaded a procedural overhaul which streamlined the management of child abuse cases. Mr. McLeod was awarded a commendation from the Director of DFCS. Above all, Mr. McLeod learned toughness and aggressiveness on behalf of his clients in difficult and emotionally charged situations.
Mr. McLeod holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy Degree from Georgia State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
